ASEAN Study Center in Sebelas Maret University has conducted several activities through some cooperations and a series of seminars and workshops, one of them is the MoU signing with Univerisiti Utara Malaysia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, also conduct a workshop titled “Strengthening the ASEAN Economic Community Concepts Understanding among the Surakarta administrative and governance apparatus . Besides, ASEAN study center also has conducted the seminars for students include Book Review “Sejarah Kedah Dua Milenia” with Dr. Zaharuddin as the author from Universiti Utara Malaysia and public seminars which collaborate with Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, titled “Recent Developments and the Utilization of the prospects of ASEAN Community”.
All of these activities are intended to introduce ASEAN study centers to students and the communities, and to facilitate public about the better ASEAN understanding. Through these activities held by ASEAN Studies Center, there are some prospects to support the accomplishment of ASEAN Community and its implementation, so that public will concern further about the progress of ASEAN Community.
