A region which can stand on its own feet, strong enough to defend itself against any negative influence from outside the region

We the nations and peoples of Southeast Asia, must get together and from by ourselves a new perspective and a new framework for our region

We must think not only of our national interests but post them against regional interest: that is new way of thinking about our problems
