The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to ASEAN, Ambassador Rahmat Pramono together with The Philippines Permanent Representative to ASEAN, Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso paid a visit to Universitas Sebelas Maret on Wednesday (22/3/2017). The visitation was in order to maximize the ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee meeting held in Solo on March, 21-22, 2017 as well as to know and comprehend the aspirations of campus community. In addition, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia for the ASEAN cooperated with ASEAN Studies Center UNS held public lectures for socialization of the development of ASEAN towards the celebration of 50 years.
The lecture was delivered by the Ambassador of the Philippines for ASEAN, subsequent to the leadership of ASEAN is fell at the turn of Philippines. The theme discussed on the seminar is “The ASEAN and the Philippines ASEAN Chairmanship”. Through this public lecture, we expect the young generation will understand better at the importance of ASEAN in realizing the vision and identity in equations towards one society in Southeast Asia.
